The Coffee House

There is something about a coffee house. A feeling that I get, a warmth that I feel inside. They tend to be very inviting and welcoming. I don’t know if it’s the smell of fresh brewed coffee beans or the bohemian style interior design, but something gives me “home” vibes.

I feel comfortable and its nice when the barista learns your name and favorite drink.

Our grandma’s house gave us this feeling first. Our grandma was an avid coffee drinker! Every morning she would make herself a fresh cup, add milk from the fridge and a scoop of sugar from the dish in the center of her kitchen table. When we would visit her, she would always make us breakfast…then give us the side eye and ask if we wanted some coffee! We always said, “YES PLEASE!” (We had to sneak it because we were too little to be drinking coffee LOL)

There was a coffee shop that I used to love! They have closed due to COVID- but they let us create a drink that wasn’t on the menu! We had a name for it and all- The Campfire Delight! It was basically a caramel latte with vanilla and toasted marshmallow on top!

I personally love the taste of coffee and all the different flavors and things that you can do to make it your own. Currently Café Bustelo is our favorite!! It’s like an expresso, so if you drink it, prepare to become addicted!
