Testify!
Testimony is defined as the “evidence or proof provided by the existence or appearance of something” or put simply -a witness. It’s also defined as a public recounting of an experience.
Think about when you call a witness to the stand in court. They are there to testify that the events that took place are in fact real/true. Thats what our testimony does for Christ.
Testimonies are used to bear witness. If you look back on your life, and think of the promises that God has given you, it encourages you to keep the faith, to hold on.
Hebrews 12: 1-2
“1. Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
The Bible says in Hebrews 11:1 that “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen.”
We have all been given promises by God that we could not see, and because we believed on Him (FAITH)…those same promises are now our testimony…our witness. Your testimony is evidence that God is. We are walking proof that God is real and we must tell others, so that they can experience Christ as we have.
In Hebrews 11:2-38 (Read the whole thing!), it gives examples of children of God who had faith… and because if it, overcame. These examples, these testimonies were given to us so that we may look on and understand that God is not man that he should lie and what he says WILL come to pass.
Your testimony is so important. When you speak out, recounting your experiences…it allows others who may be going through a similar situation to continue to believe.
Remember to tell of Gods goodness in your life. Me and my sister have experienced so much over the past 4 years. We have watched God move in ways that are true miracles. We have waited, and pressed, and believed the promises of God. As we share our testimonies with you (coming soon..) We are going to also open up a platform for you to testify.
Remember to give God glory!
With Love,
