One Way: JESUS!

We are drinking our Café Bustelo as we get into this Word today!

I love reading the Bible because it literally tells us EVERYTHING! God answers all of our questions through his word and leaves nothing out! It’s exciting when he reveals his revelations to us because He makes everything make sense!!

Alright! Let’s talk about the ways of the world. There seems to be this misconception that there are multiple ways to get into heaven. People also believe that you can believe in any god and it’s all the same!

That thinking is so BIBLICALLY WRONG! It’s almost scary like… “who hath bewitched you!” (Galatians 3:1, KJV)…Go read that verse! >>

Now, let’s study what the Word says…

John 14:6; Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 10: 1; Verily, Verily, I say unto you, he that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

John 10:9; I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

Acts 4:12; Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

God tells us OVER and OVER again that we MUST believe in Jesus Christ to receive salvation!

Believing in the “universe” ain’t gone cut it, sis! Neither are these man-made idols that people put on pedestals.

We have to be connected to the true vine (Jesus Christ) in order to inherit the kingdom of God (heaven). John 15:4-6

In Matthew 7:13- 14, it tells us – “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”

>>Following Jesus and true salvation is not Popular!

We are going to switch it up really quick.

Let’s go back and review Acts 4:12- What is salvation and what does it mean to be saved? It’s not enough to just believe that Jesus Christ is God (Devils believe too, James 2:19) but we have to ask him to be Lord over our Lives.

Salvation is defined as being preserved; deliverance from harm, ruin, or loss. In Christianity, we use salvation in terms of being delivered (or SAVED) from sin and its consequences.

There is ONE step to becoming Saved and being able to receive salvation.

  1. Romans 10: 9-10; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

This one step is what saves us from eternity in hell! And if executed properly, through a life of holiness, also grants us access to the promises of God such as peace, joy, and forgiveness.

If you have never prayed the prayer of salvation, DO IT NOW! Confess that you believe, ask God to forgive you of your sins, and ask him to be Lord over your life.

Yes! That’s it! It’s that simple!

Of course, our confession must eventually be followed by a change in our lifestyle and behaviors but that’s a different conversation for a different day! Just know that God loves us so much (God loves YOU so much!), all he wants us to do is believe in him. He will handle the rest!
