This is a Warning!!

Warning!

I want to start by saying that God is unchanging.

Hebrews 13:8 KJV- “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever.”

He is righteous, holy, and faithful. He is loving, caring, and kind. He is also a God of correction, a God of war… a divider sent to bring a sword to create a variance (Matthew 10:34-36). He is a God of vengeance (Deuteronomy 32:35), a God of wrath that will judge, and a God that will swallow up the enemy.

Sometimes people of faith, Christians, separate God of the old testament from God of the new testament because they fear Gods wrath. They choose to believe that grace abounds to take occasion to follow their own understanding (i.e. “imma do me…”, or “God knows my heart”). Romans 6:1-2

This blog is a warning is to remind you that there are consequences to every action and decision you make. Whether it be blessings from obedience, or cursing from rebellion (Isaiah 59:18-19). We have been given examples throughout the bible of what happens when a people rebel against God (Read Jeremiah chapter 4). We have been given examples for those who follow behind God’s enemy (2 Peter 2:4-13.. High Key…just read the whole chapter.)

As individuals, as communities, as a nation, people have decided to lean unto their own understanding. People have decided to follow their feelings, their emotions, their hearts, their own minds and desires, and have turned from the will of God. There is consequence and sin hath wages (Romans 6:23). God will judge. Its not a matter of If, but when…

This is a WARNING.

Throughout this past week, and the past few weeks, we have been getting scripture and are constantly being led to warnings that God will visit because of the rebellion and wickedness. With everything within me, I believe that God will visit this place (America) …soon.

Ezekiel 12: 19-20

People think that the pandemic is over and that we will reach a place of normalcy soon. I believe that we have seen a consequence to the lifestyles people have chosen to live, and we STILL have not turned towards repentance.

God has given us a choice. He wants us to serve him willingly, and to love him. He is the Good Shepard. Just because you’d rather do your own thing, does not mean you are excused from correction. God is not mocked. Galatians 6:7-8

I have written all of this to say… Repent (Luke 13:3). Repentance means to ask for forgiveness AND turn. Repentance is what stays the hand of God from wrath. Ask him to forgive you for your deeds, correct your actions, and don’t return unto them. This is repentance.

2 Chronicles 7:14- “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

We are without excuse.

With love,

SOS
